Question & Answer

Fluorocarbons

When will the collection fee be due? When will I receive my payment statement? I would like it faxed to me ahead of time.

Payment will be made at the end of the following month for each vehicle reported for pickup at the designated pickup location from the 1st of each month to the end of the month.
The relevant payment statement will be arranged to be sent out so that it arrives by the payment date.
Faxed correspondence will not be handled due to system and security reasons.
Please contact 050-3786-7755 (Auto Recycling Contact Center) to change your bank account.

No special case or seal cap for cylinders.

Please download the necessary documents for the special case and seal caps from here (Manuals ⇒ For First-Time Users ) and submit your request.
Please note that seal caps are to be provided by the fluorocarbons recovery operators except for the first time.

What should we do if we have unused cylinder cases in our office?

Please send it by prepaid mail to the following address.
Address: Japan Auto Recycling Partnership Japan Automobile Hall 16F, 1-1-30 Shiba Daimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo Japan
Please dispose of fluorocarbons cylinders on your own.

I need to learn how to request a pickup.

The inspection deadline for fluorocarbons cylinders is approaching.

Cylinders should, in principle, be inspected by the company that owns them. If the cylinders have already been filled, they can be sent for inspection via a designated fluorocarbons pickup location (for a fee).

Airbags

I don't know how to request a pickup or the hauler's collection and transportation permit number.

Please click here (Manuals ⇒ Information related to pickups and delays)for the procedure.
For specific pickup schedules, please contact the airbags carrier in charge.

What should I do with airbags that have been serviced and replaced or for which the VIN number is unknown?

Airbags that have been removed from end-of-life vehicles and for which VIN numbers are not controlled cannot be taken back under the Automobile Recycling Law and must be disposed of as industrial waste under the Waste Disposal and Public Cleansing Law.
We can refer you to a disposal facility, so please contact us here (Inquiries ).
Airbags cannot be disposed of by general users, so please consult with your local government.

Lithium-ion battery

Will there be any costs associated with the handover?

As long as the lithium-ion batteries of the automakers that are members of our system meet our criteria, we will collect them free of charge in principle.

Do you collect LiBs that have been partially disassembled?

LiBs that have been disassembled or modified cannot be accepted because their safety cannot be guaranteed.

Where can I check if the battery is on the list from the automobile manufacturer, etc?

Please check the list of member automakers, etc.

What should I do with LiBs that do not meet the Collection Standards?

Our system cannot collect them. Please dispose of them properly at your own risk.
(Contract for disposal as industrial waste, consult with the local government, etc.)

Do you collect accidental/submerged/damaged lithium-ion batteries?

For vehicles that have been involved in an accident or have been submerged in water, we will conduct a verification after receiving the pickup request, so please prepare photos of the relevant areas and the entire vehicle to show deformation, leakage conditions, submerged marks, etc. caused by the accident.
Please register your vehicle in the system first. After registering your pickup request, we will send you an e-mail to confirm the condition of the vehicle.

Do you collect unused lithium-ion batteries?

Available for collection. Please fill out the necessary information in (1), attach the photos specified in (2) and (3), and contact us at info-libsystem@jarp.org. If you have more than one, please separate them into each email for individual management.

I don't know the VIN number.

In order to confirm that the vehicle has been serviced, replaced, or dismantled by the company, please check the VIN number in the maintenance ledger, movement report, etc. before requesting pickup.

How long does it take to pick up after registration?

After registering your pickup request, the carrier will contact you to adjust the schedule. Please note that the schedule may take up to one week to adjust. Please note that if there are items to be confirmed, arrangements will be made after the confirmation is complete.

What do you do to check the packing condition of the cargo?

The person in charge (responsible person) who can explain the condition of the LiB should be present to confirm that the LiB has been adequately removed and insulated as specified by the automobile manufacturer, etc., and that it can be safely transported.

There is no manufacturer option for collection.

Batteries of manufacturers and brands not on the list cannot be collected.
Please contact the manufacturer and dispose of them properly.

What if the condition of the cargo does not meet the Collection Standards when we check it with the transportation company on the day of pickup?

We may not be able to pick up the items on the same day, in which case we may charge the necessary fees.

The LiB to be picked up is submerged or damaged due to fire or natural disaster after the pickup request.

Please contact info-libsystem@jarp.org with the packaging control number and a photo showing the condition of the LiB.

What should I do with the control slip (A) I received at delivery?

Please contact us by filling out the inquiry form with your packing control number.
