End-of-Life Vehicle Recycling Law requires automobile companies and importers to collect and recycle three designated items from ELV: fluorocarbons, airbags, and Automobile Shredder Residue (ASR).
We were established in January 2004 in order to properly, reliably, and efficiently collect and recycle (or destroy in the case of fluorocarbons) fluorocarbons and airbags, which are among the three designated items, comissioned by automobile companies and importers.
We collect and manage fluorocarbons and airbags centrally from about 4,000 recycling companies nationwide on behalf of all automobile companies and importers.
We heve stremlined operations by securing economies of scale in terms of logistics and information systems, reducing the recycling fees borne by vehicle owners, and facilitated business operations by establishing a central contact point with Fluorocarbon recovery operators, fluorocarbons destruction operators, dismantling operators, and airbags recycling operators.
In addition, since fiscal year 2016, we have been entrusted by the Automobile Shredder Residue Recycling Promotion Team (ART) with back-office operations related to ASR.
Furthermore, in recent years, in response to changes in the environment surrounding the automotive society, we have established the advanced mobility department and are working on projects for the appropriate recycling of lithium-ion batteries (LiB) and advanced mobility, etc.

Massage from the President
We have been engaged in the construction, operation, and management of a joint collection and recycling system for the collection, destruction, and recycling of fluorocarbons and airbags, as mandated by End-of-Life Vehicle Recycling Law,comissioned by automotive companies.
In 2016, we were also entrusted with the back-office operations of the Automobile Shredder Residue (ASR) Recycling Promotion Team (ART), and have promoted the proper and smooth processing of all three of the designated collected items for ELV recycling.
On the other hand, the environment surrounding the automotive industry is undergoing a period of great change.
The emergence of new mobility technologies with the keyword "CASE" and the further increase in awareness of environmental issues, such as Carbon Neutrality and electrification, are expected to have no small impact on the ELV recycling industry.
Looking at the ELV recycling industry, overseas recycling companies, including dismantling companies, are entering the Japanese market, and overseas exports of lithium-ion batteries (LiBs) are increasing. We are aware that we need to work on ELV recycling not only on a domestic scale considering Japanese business operators but also on a global scale considering foreign companies.
We have also begun to respond to advenced mobility as a step toward building a new recycling system for future electrification, utilizing our strengths in the construction and operation of joint collection and recycling systems, and we will continue to contribute to ELV recycling in the future to meet the demands of the times.
In 2024, we will celebrate our 20th anniversary. We have established a new mission, vision, and values as our management policy, and we hope to achieve further growth on a new stage.

In July 2002, the "Law Concerning Recycling, etc. of End-of-Life Vehicles" (Automobile Recycling Law) was promulgated to address problems in the recycling of end-of-life vehicles.
The law went into full effect in January 2005.
